The Filipinas Heritage Library, in partnership with Fundaciòn Santiago and Filipino Heritage Festival Inc., launches a nationwide photo competition and exhibit that will showcase Philippine architecture of the past and today. This competition-exhibit pays tribute to Filipino ingenuity, giving us a unique glimpse of how far we have come, and to where the future will lead us.

CALL FOR LUZON ENTRIES EXTENDED

The Filipinas Heritage Library reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the submission requirements and deadline, as follows:
- The photo-competition exhibit is open to all amateur photographers, film-based or digital camera users.
- Interested photographers can submit a maximum of two (2) entries, in either black-and-white or color, with the accomplished registration form placed in a legal sized envelope. Please click here

Each photograph should be 8”x10” in size.
An entry will consist of one (1) contemporary photograph and one (1) vintage photo (dated no later than the mid-1900s) secured from local libraries, institutions, personal collections or from Retrato, the photo archive of the Filipinas Heritage Library*.
Contemporary photographs must have been taken within the past two (2) years and never been published, exhibited, or ever declared a winner in any photo contest.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
- Panelists from the photography industry will judge each entry based on adherence to theme; impact and relevance; and aesthetic and technical aspects of the photograph.
