| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - "...Soon Comes Sunrise vividly recounts the author's childhood in the jungles of the Philippines during WWII. The darkness of night brought safety from the ongoing searchings of the enemy. His father's position as a leader of a local [guerrilla] unit proved to be the avenue for his family's eventual escape by the last submarine to dare breech the Japanese blockade.
Twenty six years later, with his own young family he returned to the same locale where they worked as linguistic and medical missionaries. There he translated portions of the Bible into a tribal language which had until then not been written. He also built a hospital in the tribal area which is still operational today."
