- Summary, etc. - "The author was taken a war prisoner of U.S army in Mindoro island in January 1945 and was taken into a hospital in Tacloban, Leyte. The book is war literature written about his war prisoner experience. There are three characteristics in the book. Firstly, he explains why he did not kill U.S soldier in combat. Secondly, he draws a prisoner's camp as a "society" sometimes sadly, at other times humorously. Especially he describes keenly the human egoism and the Fall of Man in the camp.
