| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc. - "The story is set in Leyte, Philippines where the defeat of Japanese Imperial army became clear at the end of Asia Pacific war. A private Tamura was exiled a unit because of contracting tuberculosis. And he was also refused staying in an army field hospital and banished from there because of a critical shortage of food. Therefore, he was forced to wander in the wilderness where wild fire burned. He ate bloodsuckers which sucked his blood because of suffering from hunger. He eventually was driven by passion to eat a body of his friendly soldier. However, he desisted from eating human flesh. This book is war literature to explain the reason why private Tamura did not cannibalism." - Masuko Takehisa
- Summary, etc. - Masuko Takehisa
