- Summary, etc. - "After Japan's surrender in the Pacific War in 1945, despite of being concluded of Peace Treaty with Japan in1951, more than 100 Japanese among condemned criminals were put as war criminals in New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa in Philippine due to be declared guilty in an international military judicial trial for war criminals in Philippines. On 19 January 1949 (Showa 24), fourteen Japanese war criminals suddenly were hanged. Some of them were evidently innocent. The author left for the position of a prison chaplain of the prisoner and also attended the execution of 14 Japanese. This book is his memoirs written about relationship between the author as a prison chaplain and Japanese war criminals in the prison." - Masuko Takehisa
