Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - "The Tabon Caves" is part of "The Philippine Story," an 8-part documentary series directed and produced by British film maker Hugh Gibb and became part of the Ayala Museum's collection in 1977, and now in the collection of Filipinas Heritage Library. In this film, Robert Fox offers an archeological exposition on the beginnings of man and culture in the Philippines. He recounts the Tabon Caves findings and their implications, as the camera picks its way through the archeological site in Palawan, showing numerous shell species, skills, bones, pottery, stone implements, and burial jars. Originally in 16 mm film format, the film was digitized in 2020 with the support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
