Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc. - "Fiestas of the Philippines" is part of "The Philippine Story," an 8-part documentary series directed and produced by British film maker Hugh Gibb and became part of the Ayala Museum's collection in 1977, and now in the collection of Filipinas Heritage Library. This film captures the Filipino festive spirit throughout the year. Among these ritual celebrations, some of the highlights are Holy Week in Pampanga, Quiapo, and Marinduque, as well as a carabao festival in Bulacan. Originally in 16 mm film format, the film was digitized in 2023 with the support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
