| General Note |
- General note - The church interior viewed from the choir loft, showing the semi-circular apse and a portion of the central nave. Measuring a little less than 80 varas long, the central nave is about 34 varas wide while the lateral naves are 9 varas each. The original brick-tile roofing was replaced with galvanized iron sheets by Fr. Felix Guillen from 1893-98, and the floor from wood to the present one of tiles by Gelasio Ramirez. Religious murals on the ceiling and decorative motifs ornamenting the piers which support the vaulted ceiling, were done by a Cebuano painter, Raymundo Francia, who incidentally, did most of the church murals in Bohol. The church, which was originally dedicated to Nuestra Señora de Cetro (Cur Lady of the Holy Sceptre), has Nuestra Señora de Luz (Our Lady of Light) as its present patroness.
