General Note
  • General note - Mandaue is nationally famous for its "SeƱores de Cena," life-sized woodcarvings of Christ and the Apostles seated for the Last Supper. The figure of Christ is said to be three hundred years old, and likewise the Apostles except for three which were destroyed during the war and recently restored. Carvings were probably copied from European models by native craftsmen.
