  • General note - The Cathedral of the diocese of Nueva Caceres is of Spanish-Romanesque style. Began by Bishop Bernardo de la Cancepcion in 1803, it was finished and blessed by Monsignor Tomas Ladron de Guevarra in 1843. It is the center of festivities every third Saturday of September when the image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia is transferred from its shrine to the cathedral.
