General Note
  • General note - The church interior viewed from the choir loft shows the main altar and the nave which is regarded as the tallest among the churches in Bohol. The vertical effect of the Gothic style is repeated in the interior. An important feature, however, the vaulted ceiling - consisting of pointed arches supported by stone ribs - was left out; a flat, coffered ceiling is used instead. Clerestories pierced with rosette windows are formed by the nave and the side aisles which are set lower on both sides.
