General Note
  • General note - Stone and brick church was built by Fray Dionisio Suarez, O.S.A., parish priest from 1638 to 1650. But the first missionary was Fray de Espinal, O.S.A., a member of the Juan Salcedo party in reconnoitering Camarines. The church and convent were used as Spanish general quarters in 1897. The church tower was reconstructed in 1954.
