Carved in Spain, it was patterned after the Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados which is generated in the Metropolitan Church of Valencia, Spain. It was brought to the Philippines in 1719 by Fr. Vicente Ingles, O.F.M. In the uppermost tier, at center is St. Anne, after whom the district was renamed.
