- General note - Reconstructed church of Canaman and its original belltower.The original church was constructed after the establishment of the town and parish in 1599. Evangelization, however, began in 1578 when Canaman was still a visita of Naga. The first parish priest of Canaman was Fr. Pedro Matias, OFM, who later became Bishop of Nueva Caceres.
