- General note - The church was founded in 1598. Agustinian historians mark 1756 as the year in which Santa Ana became an independent parish. Fr. Ferrer started building thr present stone and brick church in 1853. Fr. Lucas Gonzales finished it and added the five-stoery belfry in 1857. The church is 58m long, 14 wide and 13 m high.
