Title Statement
  • Title - The Philippine terno, c1920
General Note
  • General note - The lady coiffed in a style in vogue since 1911, is shown clad in a terno inspired by Paul Poiret''s long and straight silhouette. The sleeves, while still big and elbow-length, are already upright. A sobrefalda of embroidered tulle falls from the waist down to the calves, indicating that this picture might have been taken sometime 1926-1928.
