- Notes - The Ibaloy were the first Cordillera group to become Spanish subjects, but the Spaniards withdrew after their defeat in the Revolution. Later the Americans, who had made Bagiuo the summer capital, gave the Ibaloy a chance to register their lands. Those who did not comply with the new system of legal land ownership lost their lands (CCP Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, Vol. l, 261-262).
