Notes	Notes - To meet the food shortage brought on by the war, subsitute foods were used. Banana trunk and rootstock, used as hog feed before the war, were eaten as vegetables or pickles. Kastañog (roasted coconut meat) took the place of castañas (chestnuts), and tutong (burned rice) was boiled in water and taken as coffee.
