- General note - Wedding Picture This wedding picture must have been quite an affair. The wedding party is in extremely formal dress with four bridesmaids, two flower girls, two ring bearer and four groom attendants. The date of the photo is uncertain but it appears that this was taken in a studio. Family tradition says that the wedding was held in January 25, 1918 when the bride, Lourdes Limcuando y Gaerlan would have been barely 18 years old. The groom is the gentleman in the "white tie" standing behind to the right of the bride as we look at the picture. His name is Jose Parcon, born Lozada but adopted by his stepfather, a Parcon from Iloilo. From left to right standing in the back are Pacita Ruiz, married to Ramon Casal, Emilio Parcon, stepbrother of the groom, Lourdes Santos, unknown groom attendant, Trinidad Gaerlan, the brides aunt, married to Tomas Asturias, unknown groom attendant, unknown bridesmaid and Jose limcuando y Gaerlan, brother of the bride. The two seated ring bearers are also unknown. The two flower girls standing next to the bride are Pilar Beech (on the left) and Patria Gil (on the right) . The bride's mother Brigida Gearlan was the first cousin of Ambassador/Congressman Dr. Pedro Gil whose daughter is the aforesaid flower girl, Patria Gil. Patria later married Deogracias Puyat and is the mother of Ambassador Consuelo Puyat-Reyes among other children and descendants who are prominent in business and politics. Trinidad Gaerlan and tomas asturias are the parents of noted Filipinas Actress Alicia Vergel.
