| General Note |
- General note - Fray Clemente came to the Pihlippines with the first Franciscan mission in 1577 and devoted himself to ministering to the sick. Aided by donations, he put up a hospital for the poor on the site where the Lycem of the Philippines stands today. The hospital would later be called San Juan de Dios Hospital.
