General Note
  • General note - Portrait of King of Spain (1808-1833) by Pablo Bejar. Ferdinand was the eldest son of Charles IV and Ma. Luisa de Parma; he became king after his father''s forced abdication. Taken prisoner by Napoleon shortly afterwards and released in 1814. In 1820, during the revolution in Spain, he was imprisoned until 1823. Born on October 14, 1784; died on September 29, 1833.
