- General note - The Dominican friar who was appointed Bishop of Nueva Segovia in 1889. At the outbreak of the 1898 revolt, the bishop and several friars of the diocese fled by boat to Aparri. There, they were captured by the Filipino army and later imprisoned in Alcala.
