- General note - The Spanish soldier who made the second attempt to conquer Maguindanao in 1603, during the term of Governor Corcuera. In 1636, with 600 men he defeated the Muslims in Jolo and Tawi-Tawi. He was appointed master-of-camp of Fort Santiago in 1651 for his services in Ternate, Mindanao and Jolo.
