| General Note |
- General note - Agusan del Norte Provincial Capitol. There were several Spanish expeditions to the region but the province of Agusan was not created until September, 1914. From the earliest days, it formed part of the old province of Caraga. But in 1860, with the establishment of a politico-military government for Mindanao, Agusan was constituted together with Surigao into the East District of Mindanao. In 1870, this district became a sub-province of Surigao under the name of Butuan. In 1907, the province was formed to include Butuan and Bukidnon. Agusan del Norte, is composed of Butuan City, the capital, Cabadbaran, Buenavista, Carmen, Nasipit, Tubay, Jabonga, Kitcharao and La Nieves.
