- General note - For several years, hundreds of American and Filipino public school teachers flocked to Baguio during summer for rest and continuing education. They were forced to live, eat and attend lectures in tents prior to the improvement of camp facilities between 1908 and 1913. Even when permanent structures had been constructed, some teachers who could not be accommodated in the dormitories had to pitch tents in the sprawling ground of the camp, 1920s
