Title Statement
  • Title - Batangas provincial capitol
General Note
  • General note - This building is probably the finest looking capitol, architecturally, of the Spanish regime. It faces north along one side of the municipal plaza for almost its entire length. The first story of the capitol is made of adobe masonry quarried in the immediate vicinity and the second story is of native hardwoods. Part of the roof still retains the original curved clay tiles, while in the other portions this tile has been replaced by galvanized iron.
