| General Note |
- General note - Bohol''s most popular cave is found in the municipality of Dauis, in the island of Panglao. Easily reached from the provincial capital (about 12 kilometers), the underground dolomite eave was developed as tourist spot by the municipal government. It probably was a subteranean water bed in its formative stage, where water flowed from ceiling to floor as if through a pipeline. The solvent action of circulating water gradually deepened and widened the chamber of calcareous rock in the course of time. After the water table was lowered, a free surface stream remained on the cave floor. Stalactites formed by rain and surface water seeped down through cracks. The stream on the floor of the cave measures seven feet at the deepest part.
