| General Note |
- General note - Photo shows the Municipal building and the eastern section of the town plaza of Talibon. Situated in the northwest coast of Bohol, about 114 km from the capital, the town was formerly known as Talibong, a barrio of Inabangan famous for its gold mines. It was established as a separate municipality in 1830; presently with the recently-established towns of Trinidad and Danao severed from it, the town has 32 barrios and 28 sitios. 19 of its barrios are islands scattered north of the mainland, with Mahanay and Jau as the largest in area and population. Its inhabitants are engaged in fishing due to its proximity to the sea although a great number also engage in farming. The town makes the famous Talibon hats.
