- General note - The government-owned and operated Tontonan hydroelectric plant harnessed the deep Loboc River as a source of electricity for Bohol's capital, Tagbila-ran City, and the five nearby towns of Maribojoc, Baclayon, Albuquerque, Loay and Loboc. The project was conceived by a former governor, Carlos P. Garcia of Talibon, and inaugurated in 1959 during his term as President of the Philippines. Photo shows the dam of the one-million-peso electrification project.
