General Note
  • General note - About 200-300 m. downstreams, excess water coning from the Tantonan Dam can be seen cascading from a low height of less than 10 ft. The basin-shaped waterfalls formed makes a picturesque sight especially when the roaring water covers the entire width (150-200 meters) of the Loboc River at this point. The river, incidentally, has overflowed its banks several times, causing serious damage to the town. Destructive floods have been recorded in 1947, 1955 and 1964; that on Nov. 26, 1876, however, remains unparalleled in the history of the town.
