  • General note - Shown are Spanish excursionists crossing a rock-littered river on their way to Biak-na-Bato. Biak (or Biyakj-na-Bato is a barrio of San Miguel de Mayumo in Bulacan, situated at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Gen. Mamerto Natividad, one of the military commanders in Central Luzon advised Gen. Aguinaldo of the strategic advantages of the place as site of the revolutionary government.
