General Note
  • General note - Photo shows ruins of one of the two watch towers of Camiguin, located at Guinsiliban and facing the southeastern coast opposite Misamis Oriental. The Jesuits reportedly established a mission station in the town in 1599 and for this Guinsiliban is considered as the first parish founded in the island. Some 12 to 15 feet high, the tower was built probably at the same time that the one in Catarman was constructed (early 17th century).
