General Note
  • General note - The name Boljoon was coined from the local word "Boljo", which literally means an abrupt jut, a promontory, or projection toward the sea. This town, 103 kms. south of Cebu City, is approximately 2,010 sq. kms. in area. The poblacion nestles cozily on a narrow coastal plain bounded by precipitous cliffs on the north, on the west by a range of luxuriant hills, on the southern tip by the Boljoon River, and on the east by Bohol Strait.
