  • General note - Also known as the Leonard Wood Memorial, this place is a must stop for scientists passing Mandaue. This is a sanitarium for lepers, founded in 1930 at the time of Gov. Gen. Wood. At present, about 600 patients are confined here. Important researches on anti-leprosy drugs are conducted here. This is the largest and most modern sanitarium for lepers in the Far East.
