| Title Statement |
- Title - Laguna provincial capitol
|
| General Note |
- General note - The government building of the province of Laguna. This is perhaps the most imposing capitol yet constructed under the American regime. It is of the box type of reinforced-concrete building with a facade of Roman Doric columns. The first story floor is of tile and a concrete base. The site upon which this building is located is a flat plain a kilometer distant from the business section. The subsoil was found to be very soft and, as a foundation for the building, a large reinforced-concrete continuous slab for the entire area of the building was constructed upon which the structure was built. In the work of improving the grounds surrounding the building curbing have been built, grading and sodding done, box hedges and ornamental shrubbery started. A large artsian well on the grounds supplies water for sanitary and parking purposes.
