- General note - View showing the river and town of (San Pedro) Makati in the distance. Faintly seen is the steeple of the original church dedicated to San Pedro in memory of Rev. Pedro de los Montes, builder of the church, and of Captain Pedro de Brito, chief constable of the audiencia in 1589 and also aide to the Maestra de Campo (Chief of Staff). He bought Makati at a public auction for 1400 pesos and in 1607 donated the site then called Buenavista to the Jesuits.
