| General Note |
- General note - At one side of the cave is a big heap of boulders and stalagmites piled one on top of another, forming what looks like an altar reredos. From the ceiling hang fancy-shaped stalactites looking like chandeliers. In this spacious cave, religious fanatics like the colorums of Luzon held occasional rituals and masses. The Bathala caves are other burial sites in Marinduque. During Alfred Marche''s excavation, he found a good number of skulls, pottery shreds, and a few small jars and dishes all dated 13th to 15th centuries. Most of Marche''s collection from Marinduque found their way to Paris museums like the Trocadero and Natural History Museum.
