- General note - On the night of January 14, 1943, the submarine U.S.S. Gudgeon landed the six-man "Planet Party", composed of Col. Jesus A. Villamor, USAF, Patricio Jorge, Delfin C. Yuhico Sr., Rodolfo Ignacio, Emilio Quinto (now deceased) and Dominador Malic (deceased), with a ton of equipment to assist the local guerrillas fight the Japanese. Direct from Australia, it was the first such landing since the fall of Bataan and Corregidor in 1942.
