| General Note |
- General note - The Atimonan Zigzag was constructed some time during the early 1930's. For the safety of the traveling public, it was improved, expanded and graded into a first class road in 1969 by Governor Anacleto Alcala with the assistance of the national government. This is part of the national highway (Manila South Road) cutting through the forest area, which connects Manila to the Bicol region; and perhaps of the proposed Philippines-Japan Friendship Highway, which is envisioned to link Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao by a series of highways and bridges starting from Aparri down to Zamboanga.
