| General Note |
- General note - Approximately 287,000 hectares of forest lands of historic, aesthetic, scientific and recreational significance, have been declared national park sites in order to preserve rare species of plants and animals therein. One of these areas, the Quezon National Forest Park, was the seventh to be named and developed as such; and was inaugurated on July 23, 1939. It occupies an area of some 983 hectares of virgin rain forest, covering areas belonging to 3 municipalities: Pagbilao, Padre Burgos and Atimonan. The park starts at Kilometer 163 on the Manila South Road, or 23 kilometers south from Lucena City. This also marks the beginning of the winding cross-mountain road which leads to Atimonan.
