| General Note |
- General note - Another photo of the capitol building in Lucena City, with the Filemon Perez Park in the foreground. Quezon is the second largest province in Luzon and occupies the eastern plain south of Nueva Vizcaya. It includes the islands of Polilio, Patnanongan, Alabat and the surrounding smaller islands. Until 1921, it also included the province of Marinduque. The province was first explored by the Spaniards in 1571-72, when Juan de Salcedo crossing Laguna province to Paracale in the Bicol region, passed by the central part of Tayabas. Again, during his expedition to the northern coast of Luzon, the following year, Salcedo visited the coastal towns of Casiguran, baler and Infanta.
