| General Note |
- General note - The waters of Maqueda Bay is one of the major sources of fish wealth in Samar. It lies west of Wright, south of Jiabong and north of Calbiga and Villareal. The Maqueda Bay islands (Darahuay, Majaha, Guintarcan, San Sebastian, Libucan, Boloan, Daram and Buad) are said to have been parts of the island of Samar before 4000 B.C. One proof offered by geologists is the sameness of their basement stuff: basalts and sediments of sandstones, shales and limestones. The structural separation might have been the effect of the following: "the down-warping of the Ragay zone or Samar-Duita zone; the disc-rotation of approximately 15º of the western fault block in which the island are located; and the post-Pleistocene worldwide rise of the sea level."
