| General Note |
- General note - Largest mosque of the entire Sulu archipelago occupies almost a block beside Plaza Tulay in Jolo town proper. The unfinished concrete edifice, constructed by Hadji Ustadz Radjae Yahihiya was formerly made of wood. Chief attractions of the new mosque are the big central dome covering the prayer hall and four towering minarets of Egyptian influence: the towers recede in stages, each stage having a gallery and the whole crowned with a bulbous dome. From the minarets, the imam enjoins the Moslems to recite their daily prayers.
