- General note - Ruins of the gateposts of one of the five gateways to the walled town of Jolo, directly facing San Ramondo. This gateway is the only one kept open at present and the only entrance to the town proper from the land side or hinterlands. The Spaniards enclosed the town with a wall, 8 feet high and 1 1/2 feet thick, for protection against the Muslims.
