| Title Statement |
- Title - Jolo public market
|
| General Note |
- General note - Tausug residents in their brightly-colored native attire buy and sell in the newly-constructed public market. The men wear trousers that fit close to the skin from hip to ankle, slit at the sides of the leg arid decorated with fancy brass buttons; jackets that open in front and a kerchief loosely wound around the head. The women also wear jackets but their trousers are loose like those worn by Chinese women. A "patadyong" is worn on the head or wrapped around the waist. c. 1900.
