  • General note - Photoengraving of a barrio scene in Zamboanga, c. 1900. Located some 17 kilometers along the west coast, it was named in honor of the Spanish Governor Fernando de Ayala, who had been appointed warden and in charge of Fort Santiago by Gov. Gen. Alonso Fajardo de Tena (1618-1624).
