General Note
  • General note - Fishing district along the beach was named after Spanish General Fernando de Ayala, who had been appointed warden and in charge of Fort Santiago by Gov. Gen. Alonso Fajardo de Tena (1618-1624). Now a model community, Ayala district is located some 17 kilometers north of Zamboanga City. Photo was taken in 1902. Photo reproduced in 1971.
