  • General note - Photo shows the canal that flows south into the Pasig River and separates the districts of San Nicolas on the west from Binondo on the east. Estero de Binondo is part of the long and winding riverine system which divides Manila into small islands. Until as late as the 1950s, barges loaded with commuters and produce from the provinces plied this water way, 1910.
