| General Note |
- General note - Photo-engraving. The Philippine Magazine. December, 1938. An aerial view of the southwestern portion of Intramuros. The picture shows the corner (where today are found Manila Hotel and Gate 3 of the South Harbor which had often received the heaviest assaults launched against the city of Manila (Limahon''s, the English and General Dewey''s). The San Diego Bastion, shown in the intersection, defended the southwestern tip that was nearest Puerta Real. The protruding triangular structure was a ravelin, a detacher work meant to protect a bastion. This particular ravelin shielded Reducto de San Pedro and was separated from the stone curtain by by a ditch.
