- Original Caption - On the road to the city. Zamboanga. On Sunday mornings scenes like the one shown above are commoni n the vicinity of the towns and villages. The women attend services in the church while the Carabao cart is driven to the stores or markets and its load of produce is disposed of. After church the family return (sic) in such comfort as the creaking and uneven progress of the roughly built cart will afford. This style cart is the conveyance in common use in the Islands, and the patient Carabao is as indispensable a factor in the equipment of the farmer of the Philippines as the horse is in the United States.
